A lot of pressure is on Adam Lambert as he prepares to record songs with Queen
Adam Lambert|Queen|Brian May Freddie Mercury: After the band released "Innuendo," their final album during the late leader Freddie Mercury's lifetime, guitarist Brian May said they were exploring recording new music with former "American Idol" contestant Adam Lambert.

"We have a little experience. Just none of it has been heard by you. It would have to be something very exceptional for us to want to introduce it to the general audience "Brian reportedly said on a US radio.

Said Adam "If you consider it, there is a lot of pressure. Something has to be at a particular level if they're going to release anything brand-new. It must be the moral thing to do. And I've always questioned if performing new stuff is suitable for me. It seems to frighten me."

Fans will be surprised by the new Queen music because, according to Brian, they are too devoted to Freddie to ever record an album of new songs with Adam. Since 2012, the 'American Idol' runner-up has been on tour with the iconic rock band, and their performances have received acclaim.

Although Brian, Adam, and drummer Roger Taylor have recorded some potential songs in the studio and there has been much talk and rumour about Queen recording their first album of new music since Freddie passed away from AIDS in November 1991 at the age of just 45, they have been discouraged by Queen fans who are against the idea.

In an interview with the magazine Total Guitar, he stated: "We spent some time in the studio. During one of those tours, we did discuss a few concepts. Yet, it simply never quite got to the point where we thought it would be right. Hence, we haven't gone very far with it."

"Really, I have no idea. But I believe there is a slight obstacle there. If they see Queen on a record label, I believe they will still want Freddie to be singing. I don't blame people for wanting Freddie even if it had Jesus Christ's face on it. Some Instagram users resent me and ask, "Why are you still going on without Freddie?" I then say, "Don't advise me on what to do!" I carry out what I believe I should."
