According to reports Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have ended their six-year relationship

After a six-year relationship, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are apparently no longer together.

The long-standing couple, according to Entertainment Tonight, split up a few weeks ago. According to the site, the breakup was mutual and the couple's romance had simply reached its end.

Alwyn has reportedly been accompanying Swift on her Eras Tour whenever his schedule permits, according to a recent story. The marriage "run its course."

The couple, who had previously kept their relationship private, has apparently split up now. According to a source for ET, "it was not dramatic. Recently, the relationship had reached its end. It explains why [Alwyn] hasn't been seen at any performances.

Since Swift's Eras Tour launched in Glendale, Arizona earlier this year, Alwyn has not been seen among the crowd at any of her performances. Selena Gomez, Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Laura Dern, and Emma Roberts are just a few of Swift's famous friends who have so far attended her performances.

When a source for People stated earlier in March that "Joe will travel with her when he can, they are terrific together," the relationship appeared to be going strong. Joe is a huge advocate for her work.

Alwyn and Swift have not officially addressed the alleged separation.

The journey of Joe and Taylor's relationship

According to fan speculations based on Swift's 2017 song "Dress," the former pair may have first met during the 2016 Met Gala. The song's lyrics make reference to Swift and Alwyn's attire for the opulent occasion.

Rumors of a developing relationship between the two began around mid-May 2017. They posted matching cactus photographs on Instagram a year later, discreetly making it official. Afterwards, Alwyn revealed in an interview that the Instagram relationship launch was wholly unintentional.

The two would largely keep their relationship private for the following six years. Swift would go on to say that despite only occasionally being photographed together, at various red carpet events, and leaving restaurants together, she has written numerous songs about their relationship.

In May 2021, a source for Entertainment Tonight claimed that the two had been talking about getting married after becoming closer and moving in together during the COVID-19 quarantine. This sparked engagement rumours about the couple.
