The signing of a Stranger Things Twitch streamer by FaZe Clan only led to civil war
FaZe Clan • Grace Van Dien • Stranger Things • Nordan Shat: As its members argue about the recent hiring of Stranger Things actor and Twitch broadcaster Grace Van Dien, the esports organisation FaZe Clan, once the laughing stock of Wall Street, is at the centre of yet another controversy. Loud members like Nordan "FaZe Rain" Shat denounced the agreement as a cash grab, and Van Dien said Rain wasn't even involved in the decision-making process.

Van Dien joined FaZe Clan on May 25, according to a brief video showcasing the Stranger Things actress' lengthy love of gaming and her transition to Twitch streamer. FaZe Clan is a loosely organised group of esports teams, gaming content producers, and passionate gamers. Some FaZe supporters laughed it off, calling it a desperate attempt by businessmen to gain influence over the brand in order to line their own coffers.

The argument overflowed into the remarks. While some FaZe Clan members, like Santana, reacted negatively, others, including Censor, Banks, and Adapt piled on. Rain (through Dexerto) also posted a response video dunking on Van Dien's statement. Again, Grace, I sincerely apologise for putting you in the middle of this. It went on:

You seem like a very kind, innocent girl, but I know you're not involved in this at all, and you have no idea what's going on; it's all past your understanding," he continued. "Bro, just so you know, that's how those businesses work. For every million dollars an athlete or singer makes, there's an elderly white guy making 10 times that on top of it in the acting, music, and sports worlds.
