Severe Weather Forces CMA Country Music Festival to Suspend Concerts

CMA Fest • Nashville • 2023 • Country Music Association:
Due to weather concerns in Nashville, Tennessee, the outdoor concerts at CMAFest were canceled on Sunday. The event, hosted by the Country Music Association and featuring headliners Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, and Dierks Bentley, experienced temporary suspension of the outdoor stages. The organizers urged attendees to seek shelter calmly and safely, providing a list of designated shelters and advising them to stay tuned for updates through the festival's app notifications.

An hour later, it was announced that all outdoor stages would remain closed for the rest of the day due to ongoing inclement weather, as reported by the National Weather Service. Attendees were instructed to await further instructions before heading to Nissan Stadium, where the gates would be delayed.

The previous day's performances included artists such as Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Jon Pardi, Old Dominion, and Eric Church. Fans expressed their disappointment and curiosity about Eric Church's seemingly shortened set on Saturday, questioning the reason behind it on social media. Some fans speculated that there might be more to the story.

Despite the unforeseen circumstances and changes to the schedule, the festival remained optimistic and tweeted later in the day that they were monitoring the weather and hopeful of being able to put on a full show in the evening.
