Netflix's selection of Good Friday movies to watch throughout Easter

Easter | Netflix: Everyone may now enjoy the weekend off! Good Friday, a holy day observed by the Christian Church, is today, April 7. People who celebrate often fast today in preparation for Easter on Sunday. Given that today is a holy day for penance, it may be a significant holiday for many people. If you gave up TV for Lent, you might start using Netflix or other streamers again now that it's officially over. When young cousins Lcia dos Santos, Francisco, and Jacinta Marto tell others what they have seen, not everyone is receptive to what they have seen. The story takes place in 1917 in Fatima, Portugal.

However, some believers accompany the kids to what is now referred as as the "Miracle of the Sun."

Father Stu

Father Stu, a biographical film set in 2022 and based on Stuart Long's life, stars Mark Wahlberg. The real-life person started out as a boxer but converted to Catholicism in the early 1990s after narrowly escaping a fatal motorbike accident. He finally became a priest, and the film follows his conversion while he battled inclusion body myositis, a rare muscle condition.

Father Stu also stars Jacki Weaver, Cody Fern, Malcolm McDowell, and Mel Gibson as significant cast members.

Minions: The Rise of Gru

Even though Minions: The Rise of Gru isn't an Easter or religious film, it's a great family-friendly addition to the Netflix library. The famous Minions plot is continued in the 2022 animated comedy, which follows Gru's upbringing. Gru is portrayed by the hilarious Steve Carell. In the film, Gru eventually gets the chance to fulfil his desire to become a supervillain, though not without some setbacks.
