The name of the Apple comedy series starring Woody Harrelson is revealed by Matthew McConaughey
Matthew McConaughey | Woody Harrelson | True Detective | Television comedy: In an interview with Kelly Ripa for her SiriusXM programme Let's Talk off Camera with Kelly Ripa, the actor previewed his new Apple comedy series with Woody Harrelson. Brother From Another Mother, the name of the show McConaughey revealed, is a strange-couple love story that centres on the couple's "strange and beautiful bond," according to Apple.

Brother from Another Mother, according to McConaughey, will be "a series about our families that's based on truth." Despite the fact that Woody and I are the best of friends, he continued, "Whereas we have different approaches in how we raise our children and how we got about certain things," and as for their half-hour comedy, "It's a love story, about us, he and I and our families coming together and the conflicts and comedy that come with it."

Their friendship will be put to the test in the series when both of their families try to coexist on Matthew's ranch in Texas, according to Apple.

Skydance Television is in charge of producing the show. Along with Harrelson, McConaughey, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell, Bill Bost, and Jeremy Plager, West Read will serve as executive producer.

Together, McConaughey and Harrelson appeared in Welcome to Hollywood (1998), EDtv (1999), and Surfer Dude (2008), as well as the first season of HBO's True Detective, which debuted in 2014.

The two are so close, McConaughey told Ripa, that he's even considering the possibility that they are linked biologically. When McConaughey discovered that his mother "knew" Harrelson's father, the premise for that film was born. "Where I start, where he ends, and where he starts and I end has always been a murky line, and that's part of our bromance, right?," I said, adding, "My kids call him Uncle Woody, and his kids call me Uncle Matthew."

McConaughey responded, "This is what we're on the brink of now," when Ripa questioned if the two had ever done DNA testing to discover if they were related.
