Following her daughter's debut at Cannes, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas cuddle up at the Monaco Grand Prix
Before the Monaco Formula One race on Saturday, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas wandered the track in preparation for some fast and furious action.

The couple appeared to be in excellent spirits as they posed together in the bright city light while donning fashionable attire for a day at the races.

Catherine, 53, wore a long-sleeved shirt with white loose-fitting pants to the celebrity-studded event to channel the distinctive look of the area.

The actress's skirt, which was frayed at the hem, was jazzed up by the addition of a gold chain belt with decorations hanging from the loops. She also held a giant Chanel bumbag in her hand as she posed.

She wore comfortable white and black trainers for the occasion and accessorised her Monanco look with a pair of black sunglasses, a pair of large hoop earrings, and a straw-like fedora hat in cream.

Her other half, Michael, 78, shielded his face from the sun while cheering for Aston Martin at the racecourse in a green branded baseball cap.

He wore white slacks, imitating his wife, and teamed them with a navy polo shirt and black trainers.

As they sauntered across the paddock, where drivers like Sir Lewis Hamilton were strutting their thing, both celebrities sported their VIP access lanyards around their necks.

In a complete yellow two-piece, the driver showed he wasn't scared to make daring fashion statements and was as elegant as ever before getting into his Mercedes.

Lewis, 38, completed his summery ensemble with some silver chain necklaces, white athletic shoes, and metallic silver sunglasses. He wore a tracksuit top with canary yellow flared trousers.

The actress and actor, a Hollywood power couple, were engaged in 2000 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City after first meeting in 1998.

Dylan, 22, and Carys, 19, are the couple's two children, and Michael and Catherine are preparing to mark their 23rd wedding anniversary in November.

The pair was in the opulent nation when their daughter Carys made her acting debut at the Cannes Film Festival last week.
