Taylor Swift concert in Nashville interrupted due to severe weather advisory and lightning warning

Fans of Taylor Swift are finding refuge from a severe storm. A lightning advisory warning was issued for the Nashville Swift concert on Sunday due to an impending hazardous storm.

The warning and instructions were flashed on large screens inside Nissan Stadium, where Swift was scheduled to perform her final Nashville concert on her Eras Tour.

Lightning Warning. As instructed by Nissan Stadium workers in your location, please proceed to the designated shelter spaces, according to the instructions. Keep your cool and move towards the inner and protected portions of the stadium.

Nearly an hour prior to when the concert was scheduled to start, the notice was issued around 5:30 p.m. CT. In order to accommodate concertgoers, gates opened early. The people remaining inside their cars were asked to remain there.

Later, Nissan Stadium made the announcement that the storm had delayed the concert's start time.

Prior to her performance on Sunday, Swift made headlines when she was seen in her chauffeured limousine in Nashville early on Sunday morning with Matty Healy, the lead singer of The 1975, and her rumoured romantic interest.

Although neither has addressed the rumours, the fresh images of the two and his participation in the Nashville leg of Swift's Eras Tour have increased them.
