Danny Bonaduce to Undergo Brain Surgery After Year Long Health Battle

Danny Bonaduce, best known for his role in "The Partridge Family," has announced that he will undergo brain surgery after struggling with an illness that has left him unable to walk. The 63-year-old actor shared the news during an interview with TMZ, revealing that he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus in March after consulting with over 100 doctors.

Hydrocephalus is a neurological disorder characterized by the buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain's cavities. Symptoms in adults can include balance problems, blurred vision, and memory loss. Despite not being certain about the cause of his condition, Bonaduce humorously mentioned that a guitar injury he sustained during a reality show might have played a role.

Although he didn't disclose the date of the surgery, Bonaduce explained that it will involve the insertion of a drain port in the back of his head to alleviate the excess fluid. The beloved star initially revealed his health battle in April of the previous year, announcing his leave of absence from "The Danny Bonaduce & Sarah Morning Show" on a Seattle radio station. He expressed his need for time to focus on his health while awaiting a diagnosis.

Over the course of nearly a year, Bonaduce sought medical advice from numerous doctors, all of whom were puzzled by his condition. Finally, a specialist diagnosed him with hydrocephalus, bringing some clarity to his health struggles. The actor hopes that the upcoming surgery will lead to an immediate improvement in his condition.

In the meantime, radio executives have set up a studio in Bonaduce's home so that he can continue broadcasting.
