Pat Sajak • Wheel of Fortune • Vanna White:
Pat Sajak, the long-standing host of the popular television show Wheel of Fortune, revealed on Monday that the upcoming season would be his final one. Sajak took to social media to share the news, expressing gratitude to the viewers and teasing that he would provide more details in the coming months. Having joined the syndicated show in 1981 and also hosting a daytime version in the '80s, Sajak has enjoyed a successful career, earning several awards and becoming the longest-running game show host after surpassing Bob Barker. Sony Pictures Television's executive vice president of game shows, Suzanne Prete, acknowledged Sajak's contributions and announced that he would continue as a consultant for three years following his last year hosting. While Sajak had previously hinted at his eventual departure, both he and co-host Vanna White had extended their contracts through 2024. The show expressed gratitude to Sajak for his exceptional hosting and looks forward to an outstanding Season 41. The replacement for Sajak has not yet been announced, and in the past, Vanna White and Maggie Sajak have filled in as hosts.
