The royal couple shared the news on Instagram, along with a photo of the sleeping newborn. "Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs," Eugenie wrote. "He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already."

Ernest is the second child for Eugenie and Jack, who are also parents to 2-year-old August Philip Hawke. He is the 13th in line to the British throne, following his older brother.

The birth of Ernest is a joyous occasion for the royal family, and we wish Eugenie, Jack, and their two sons all the best.

Here are some more details about Ernest:

His middle names honor Queen Elizabeth's grandfather King George V, Jack's father George, and Eugenie's maternal grandfather Ronald, the father of her mother Sarah Ferguson.

He arrives as 13th in the line of succession to the British throne, immediately following big brother August.

He is the first of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren to be born following her death in September and the third grandchild for Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
