The 13th annual Streamy Awards are gearing up for an evening filled with exciting moments. This Sunday, viewers can anticipate captivating performances, including a dynamic showcase from Swedish duo Icona Pop and a long-awaited reunion of Smosh comedy creators Ian and Anthony. However, amid all the star-studded presentations, presenter extraordinaire, drag sensation, and podcast host Shea Coule̩, is particularly thrilled about one on-stage appearance Рthat of the renowned TikToker, Dylan Mulvaney.

In the spotlight alongside Couleé, luminaries such as Tana Mongeau and WWE superstars Xavier Woods and Zelina Vega will grace the event. Dylan Mulvaney, a social media sensation, recently endured unwarranted criticism after partnering with Bud Light for a branded social media campaign. This collaboration sparked significant backlash and even a boycott against the brand, generating headlines earlier this year.

"I'm genuinely thrilled for Dylan," shared Couleé in an exclusive conversation with The Hollywood Reporter. "What truly stands out to me about her is her remarkable ability to maintain unwavering positivity, especially in the face of adversity. I believe she serves as an exceptional embodiment of queer joy, and we're eager to witness more of it. This is an immense moment for her."

The Streamy Awards, marking their 13th year, stand as a testament to celebrating the most exceptional creators from the realms of social media and podcasting, among others. For host MatPat, this event is no foreign territory.

"I've been fortunate enough to be a part of many award shows in the past, and we've clinched quite a few of them by now," expressed the accomplished gaming personality, a seven-time Streamy award winner. "Being on stage and contributing to a show that recognizes talents in this industry is incredibly gratifying for me."

For Couleé, the joy stems from sharing the stage with fellow creators. "Being a part of the Streamy Awards is a source of great excitement for me," Couleé exclaimed. "I've grown up in an era where I've witnessed an extraordinary cultural shift towards streaming platforms. It's awe-inspiring to see these expansive communities flourish thanks to technology and the numerous connections fostered through social media."

Presently, MrBeast is leading the pack with an impressive five nominations, including the coveted Creator of the Year award, which he also claimed last year. MatPat acknowledges MrBeast's pivotal role in showcasing that social media creators can produce top-tier content on par with traditional media.

"The level of respect and the elevation of YouTube content that he's brought to the table have been truly game-changing," MatPat asserted. "So, all the accolades and attention are undoubtedly well-deserved because he consistently propels the industry forward."

MatPat also commends MrBeast's philanthropic endeavors, which earned him a nomination for Creator for Social Good. He shares this nomination with luminaries such as DrLupo, Invisible People, Jacksepticeye, and MrBallen.

"Numerous YouTubers and digital video stars have generously contributed to various charitable events and causes," MatPat emphasized. "We are immensely fortunate to hold the positions and platforms we do. Many of us stumbled into this world or were fortunate enough to enter it. We commenced this journey with no expectations of it growing into the profitable and influential sphere it has become."

He went on to say, "Hence, having the ability to not only give back and support fellow content creators but also inspire the next generation to wield their platforms for good and spread goodwill throughout the world is nothing short of extraordinary."

The Streamy Awards, a night brimming with anticipation, will be streamed live on August 27th at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, beaming from Los Angeles via streamys.watch. The Streamy Awards are masterfully produced by Tubefilter and Dick Clark Productions, the latter of which is under the stewardship of Penske Media Eldridge.
