Daniel Radcliffe and girlfriend Erin Darke welcome their first child

Daniel Radcliffe and girlfriend Erin Darke had their first child on Monday, the news was confirmed by Radcliffe's agent to numerous media sites. The revelation comes after images of the 33-year-old Harry Potter star pushing a pram while in New York City on April 25 were published by DailyMail. In contrast to him, Darke appears nearby sporting jeans, a black shirt, and a green coat. He is casually attired in a T-shirt, cap, and face mask.

The long-term couple announced their first child together to the media for the first time in March.

Since meeting on the set of the 2013 movie How to Kill Your Darlings, the pair has kept their relationship and private lives largely hidden. The couple made a rare public appearance together just over a year ago at Radcliffe's movie The Lost City's New York City premiere. They hadn't appeared on a red carpet since the 2014 Tony Awards before that.

Radcliffe is hardly the first member of the Potter cast to give birth. Rupert Grint, who portrayed Radcliffe's on-screen friend Ron Weasley, is the father of Georgia Groome's 2-year-old daughter Wednesday.
