F1 star Fernando Alonso is surrounded by Taylor Swift relationship rumours

After six years of dating, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn reportedly split up earlier this month, according to several reports. Since March 17, Swift has been performing on "The Eras" tour. Alonso, though, appeared to swim into the pool of eligible bachelors just weeks after the breakup made headlines in every major tabloid in the world, taunting F1 fans and Swifties alike on social media.

On Monday, the 41-year-old native of Spain uploaded a video to his TikTok account that used Taylor Swift's song "Karma." While winking at the camera and scrolling on his phone, Alonso was observed.

He captioned the video, "Race week era."

Media outlets reported that an Instagram account named DeuxMoi is where the rumours about Alonso and Swift's alleged romance first surfaced. According to the tabloid, the article was a blind item story. In its own words, DeuxMoi states that "some statements made on this account have not been independently confirmed" and that "this account does not claim that information published is based on fact."

The rumour that the account posted on its Instagram Stories started the fire.

The account shared an anonymous email that stated, "A few Spanish magazines have been posting about TS and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso." They claim that the couple had been seeing each other for a week at this point. However, they are both recently single, so nothing serious.

In preparation for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sunday, Alonso was obviously playing along with the rumours.

For what it's worth, before performing in Nashville, Philadelphia, and Foxborough, Massachusetts, Swift is planned to spend three nights in Atlanta. Swift will be in Nashville from May 5 to 7, while Formula One will be getting ready for the American Grand Prix in Miami.
