John Wick star Lance Reddick’s cause of death revealed
Lance Reddick | John Wick | The Wire:  The cause of Lance Reddick's death has been made public.

According to his death certificate, which TMZ obtained, the late Wire actor had both atherosclerotic coronary artery disease and ischemic heart disease.

According to the American Heart Association, ischemia is a condition in which blood flow and oxygen are diminished or restricted in a particular body region.

The Mayo Clinic describes arteriosclerosis as the thickening and stiffening of the blood arteries that "carry oxygen and nutrients from the heart to the rest of the body," often preventing blood flow to the organs and tissues. A heart attack or stroke may be brought on by the clots.

On March 17, Reddick's body was discovered at his Studio City, California, residence. He had reached age 60.

Earlier, law enforcement sources told TMZ that the actor passed away from "natural causes."

Reddick passed away while he was still employed and very occupied.

He was in the middle of a press trip for the March 23 movie release of John Wick: Chapter 4.

Reddick referred to his co-stars Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane as his "family" in one of his last interviews.

He mentioned this while seated next to his co-stars on The Kelly Clarkson Show: "You see, with the three of us, it's not just the family that you're born into, but the family that you created and how much we really are family."

For nearly ten years, Reddick portrayed Charon, a hotel concierge and longtime friend of John Wick, in the action film series.

Reeves, 58, honoured his late friend by donning a blue ribbon at the opening of the fourth movie.

In addition, the Speed star described Reddick as "a lovely person, a special artist, [and] a man of grace and respect [with] such a dedication for his profession" on the red carpet.

"It has been a very special opportunity for me to work with him over the past ten years and four films [in the franchise]. It's awful that he's not present.
