Prince Louis Turns 5 Years Old - See the New Photos

Birthday greetings to Prince Louis! The youngest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton had a significant birthday on Sunday by becoming 5 years old. The Prince and Princess of Wales unveiled a number of brand-new photos of the birthday child in advance of the big day.

"Someone’s turning 5 tomorrow… 🎂 🥳 A very happy birthday to Prince Louis.📸 @milliepilkingtonphotography," the caption next to the photo set read on Saturday.

Little Louis is seen in the first image smiling broadly as he sits in a wheelbarrow while donning a blue jumper and matching shorts. Kate is also shown in the photo, pushing the birthday boy about.

The duchess is casually attired in a striped jumper for the event.

The birthday kid is the focus of the next image, which is a solo shot from the same shoot.

Photographer Millie Pilkington broke with convention by photographing the birthday pictures. The photographer thanked the royals on her various social media platforms.

"I'm thrilled to share a few pictures of Prince Louis with you as we commemorate his fifth birthday today.

"Thanking @princeandprincessofwales for entrusting me with this shoot. #trulyhonoured," she wrote.  "And wishing Prince Louis the very happiest of birthdays. #princelouis #princelouisofwales #princessofwales #princeandprincessofwales #capturing."

Prince George and Princess Charlotte's mother has previously taken birthday pictures for Louis and his brothers, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Louis' birthday photographs follow his Easter début at service with the royal family, where he wore a blue-themed outfit. 

Like his father and sibling, young Louis too sported a blue suit jacket. The young prince, as is customary for royal lads of his age on such occasions, wore shorts, though. Louis' tie had bicycles emblazoned on it, which gave it a cute flair.

Those who follow the royal family are keeping an eye out to see if Louis will attend King Charles' coronation next month. 

Louis' attendance in his grandfather's coronation service at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, May 6, will be decided by William and Kate closer to the time of the service, a royal source told the media.
