Tahlia Giumelli, a footy WAG, reveals why she refrains from telling her children about the Easter bunny.

Easter Bunny | Tom Burgess: The wife of Rabbitohs Rugby League player Tom Burgess, model Tahlia Giumelli, has explained why she hasn't told her kids about the Easter Bunny's house visit.

And there's a good chance that some parents can connect to why.

The 30-year-old mother was recently questioned about her children Sophie, 4, and Elodie, 2,'s excitement for Easter during an Instagram Q&A.

The Easter Bunny custom of visiting houses to distribute candy was not mentioned to Giumelli's children, who had participated in Easter activities at school.

Please don't criticise me, but we haven't told the girls that the Easter Bunny will be visiting the house, she said to her parents.

The Rabbitohs have prepared a small event for families over the weekend and will get to see Reggie the Rabbit, but we haven't talked about the Easter Bunny stopping by with chocolate. "They have participated in all the school events and have really loved their Easter Hat parades."

She stated that she didn't want to "create more work for myself" and that she thought the work the children were doing at school and with the Rabbitohs was sufficient.

They are too little to understand, and I didn't want to add to my workload when I knew we will be having more Easter Egg Hunts through other possibilities.

Giumelli shared a family photo showing herself, Burgess, and their girls taking part in Easter activities at school in a different post.

She wrote, "A very successful Easter hat parade for the girls."

"Watching the girls parade around in their hats before bed proved how hard the educators worked to make this special for the kids and families."

One follower commented, "Awww so adorable."

Another gushed, "So cute."

After multiple delays brought on by the COVID situation, Giumelli and Burgess finally got hitched in January of last year.

In front of their closest friends and family, the couple got married in Sydney's Watsons Bay. Giumelli wore a gorgeous gown by Australian designer Prea James Bridal.

English rugby footballer Burgess is a prop for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL right now.

Former rugby league player Sam Burgess, who played for the Rabbitohs, is his older brother.
