While no specific details about her character have been revealed, Hamilton's addition adds another iconic sci-fi figure from the 80s to the popular Netflix series.

Linda Hamilton gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Sarah Connor in the original 1984 film, The Terminator, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. She reprised her role in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) and provided voice-over work for Terminator Salvation (2009). Her return as Connor in Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) was met with great enthusiasm from fans.

Aside from her Terminator fame, Hamilton is also known for her role as Catherine Chandler in the television series Beauty and the Beast (1987-1990), which earned her critical acclaim and multiple award nominations, including two Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy nomination.

Stranger Things has a history of featuring beloved 80s icons, with Robert Englund, known for portraying Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street, appearing in season four.
