Coachella will end with Skrillex, Four Tet, and Fred once again on Sunday night
Four Tet | Electronic music | Skrillex: According to insiders, Skrillex, Four Tet, and Fred have been added to Coachella's list once more as the festival's Sunday night headliners for weekend two.

This addition follows Frank Ocean's withdrawal from the festival's second weekend due to a leg injury and a contentious performance during weekend one, as well as the addition of Blink 182 to the Sunday night main stage lineup. (Last weekend, on Friday night, the reunited punk band performed in Coachella's Sahara Tent.)

On Sunday at 10:25 p.m., Skrillex, Fred once more, and Four Tet will take the stage on the main stage following an hour-long performance by Blink-182. A Coachella spokesman declined to comment on the inclusion.

Again, Fred foreshadowed this performance with a pair of enigmatic Instagram posts. One read, "okay, I can't believe I'm saying this again, but does anyone know where Sonny [Skrillex] is," while the other featured him and Four Tet in a car with the comment "Unexpected journeysssss [sic]."

The group will perform in the round on the satellite stage of the main stage, which was designed to double as an ice rink for the Frank Ocean concert but wasn't utilised for that performance, according to sources close to the festival. This Sunday, there won't be any ice on this satellite stage.

The group will be performing together for the first time since their successful performance at Madison Square Garden on February 18, which completely sold out the venue in just two minutes. The band's five-hour concert came after a string of pop-up appearances in support of Skrillex's album Quest For Fire, which was released the day before the MSG performance. During his performance at MSG, Skrillex also released a second album, titled Don't Get Too Close. These two albums are his first full-length releases since 2014's Recess. (The producer yesterday teased what seem to be three further future albums on social media.)

Given that they began their early recording sessions in Pangbourne, England, Skrillex, Fred once again, and Four Tet, often known as the Pangbourne House Mafia, represent three generations of dance music. This performance represents another apex for each artist. Despite the fact that each has performed at Coachella before, both individually and as part of different endeavors—Fred's breakout year began last April with a pair of wildly successful Coachella 2022 sets—this Sunday's gig will be their largest performance as a duo to date.

The group has worked on a number of songs together, the most recent of which, "Baby Again," is presently No. 19 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
